New structure to my blog, daily posts will consist of:

  • Monday - Shop stuff and whatever happened in the weekend
  • Tuesday - Things I can't afford but want!
  • Wednesday - Colour & shop stuff
  • Thursday - New Ideas
  • Friday - Artists and Designers
  • Sunday - I'll just make it up...

At present, my blog is a bit airy fairy, my posts are about what I want when I want and working this way often leads me to writers block. So from this point on I am going to try and stick to a more structured blog...

So for Monday -here are the pics of my girls and their newly made cardboard butterfly wings mentioned in Friday's blog.

They had so much fun making them! oh and they had to be PINK

Little Rice Monsters now in-store!

I was so busy yesterday I didn't get to do my post. So here it is. My hubby and I took the girls to the aquarium ... so we are going to attempt butterfly wings today!

Now, for the shop. Little Rice monsters will be in store tomorrow, they are so cute and just the right size.

While I've been on the topic of NZ all week and they're having such a hard week, I thought it appropriate to add a little music from "the land of the long white cloud." For more from Josephine Costain click here. Hope you enjoy!

I just recently came across MoAD (Ministry of Art & Design) in New Zealand they are based in Auckland and the two organisers of the creative collective are Aroha Lewin and Zekiah Heath they help local artists and designers of exceptional quality show their work throughout NZ.

Aroha and Zekiah just happen to be very talented artists and designers themselves and below are a few images showcasing MoAD's new Alice In Wonderland collection - absolutely love it!

I hope everyone had a wonderful weekend! as for me, mine was somewhat challenging...I finally made some progress on the painting front and have been busy working till midnight - that's with a two year old teething and waking twice a night and my 3 year old waking once! Oh Joy.

On the shop front, we had some great new stock in last week. I am really loving the new rhino heads I keep on talking about and there are some cute little toys that are the perfect size to hold for the little one - not to big and not too small, just right.

A couple of pic's of my new small artworks soon to be coming to the shop...

I am really loving everything bright at the moment...colour just brightens up your day and home! Little pops of colour make everyone happy. Funny thing is when I first started painting all my paintings were inspired by the expressionists and then my style changed to more muted tones and now I'm back to brights again, I think I have to many mood swings...

I painted these Tiger Lilies Ten years ago...what a circle!

This weekend I also finished a dress I made for my little M a while back - my sewing skills aren't crash hot, so don't look too closely. I don't have a lot of patience for sewing I think it's because my sewing machine keeps breaking down.

Well that's all for now, I'm not sure who reads my blog but whoever you are have a great start to the week!

It's been a really busy weekend at our house we've been cleaning up after the floods last week. Here are a couple pic's of the river running through our yard...I really feel for the people that have been affected by the floods up in Queensland.

My husband with his dingo after helping all the neighbours with their yards...he loves that thing!

We also had a really busy week in the shop last week, here are a few pics of some of our new stock.
